Extension Educational Technology

Extension staff need a strong understanding of instructional design principles to create engaging and effective online and hybrid training. This includes familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), and knowledge of multimedia tools (such as video creation, interactive assessments, and virtual collaboration platforms) to enhance learner engagement. This can also include, but is not limited to, understanding accessibility and universal design for learning (UDL) and awareness of emerging technologies and their application, such as artificial intelligence and adaptive learning.
